about

i was asked by dj TOECUTTER/david harris to contribute a track to a compilation cd to be titled "MINISTRY OF SHIT",id seen the flyers around and knew that ITWAS A STAB at the commercial rave scene and the crappy "MINISTRY OF SOUND"compilation and the really average "TECHNO" that it embraced....so dave gave me his enthusiastic blurb///the words that stuck with me were "should sound like something commercial but be totally undanceable",so some weekend between march and april 2005, i produced close to 20 variants on a theme i thought would befit a MINISTRY OF SOUND pisstake...the first AMIGA MLC release is dedicated to that weekend and to the monday morning when i blasted the best ones over the FOH PA at the MANNING BAR SYDNEY UNI,at VOLUME getting a personal visit from the vice chancellor, who wryly half smiled and said "dont do it again" hence the brief "vice chancellor"tag.these tracks were for the most part written to be dj-ed in pairs i.e. say one cd deck would have its left channel fed to the left side left channel of the cross fader and the right stereo split to the right cross fader-then the left cd deck would feed left channel to right side in on the left of the cross fader and the right side feeding the remaining input on the left side of the cross fader....conceptual remix machine
